Assessing collection goals involves diverse issues such as preservation, restoration and reproduction.
We work with the client in selecting images, advising on condition, and assisting in decisions based on historical, aesthetic and curatorial criteria.

Panopticon Gallery and Panopticon Imaging produced the Norman Fortier Portfolio for the
New Bedford Whaling
Museum. Funds raised furthered their photographic collection.
The Washburn archive consists of almost 9,000 8x10 aerial negatives of mountain landscapes, as well as over 6500 5x7 and smaller negatives. The Ernest C. Withers collection consists of hundreds of thousands of negatives dealing with images of the Civil Rights Movement in the South during the 1950's and 1960's, a marvelous document of the Memphis Beale Street music scene during the same period, and an intimate document of the last years of the Negro Baseball Leagues.
Panopticon Imaging works with Panopticon Gallery to facilitate the production of photographic books, museum and traveling exhibitions for both of these photographers. In addition, we work with numerous historical photographic collections in the Greater New England area.
