Focusing a custom RC print.
Resin coated prints are an inexpensive alternatives to fiber-based silver gelatin. While retaining the superior tonal range and luminosity of the fiber-based print, RC prints have a much shorter lifespan of 20 to 40 years. We typically recommend these prints for non-exhibition uses.
This traditional photographic process uses plastic-resin coated paper layered with a light sensitive emulsion of silver salts suspended in gelatin and infused with a developer accelerant. The paper is exposed to light through an enlarger and then processed through a series of chemical baths, in a high-speed print-processor.
Panopticon Imaging takes great pride in offering the highest quality custom printing. We use RC papers in a variety of surfaces with an Ilford Ilfospeed 2240 processor. Special papers are available upon request for an additional charge. RC prints are charged by print size. Please
