Scanning

Panopticon Imaging's Scanning Services focus on high-end, high-resolution applications. They include sharpening, global tonal adjustment and basic dust removal. Any defect imbedded in the original is left untouched unless otherwise instructed.

Additional digital processing is available. Raw digitized images are rarely perfect - original defects remain apparent in raw scans. Color, brightness, sharpness and image contrast adjustments are often required to match or improve originals. Panopticon Imaging offers digital retouching services to repair image blemishes with results free of digital artifacts. We prepare images for press, inkjet, or other photographic output. We use CD or DVD disks or transfer files via FTP. Scanning is charged by scan size. Please contact us for details.

We use the Eversmart Supreme scanner, an archival alternative to drum scanning. it provides a far safer method than bending, oil mounting, and high speed spinning of valuable originals. The Eversmart Supreme is perfect for the high resolution scans demanded by printing, negative duplication and other high-end outputs. We scan prints, film, slides, glass plates and chromes.
